Ilana Tolpin Levitt is thrilled to announce her upcoming presentation at the California Placement Association's virtual webinar on May 17th, 2023.

Ilana’s virtual workshop, "Are Career Struggles Hereditary?", will discuss the importance of self-coaching as a tool for reframing circumstances and retraining thoughts to increase positive actions and results. She hopes to provide attendees with valuable insights and strategies for overcoming challenges and achieving their career goals, whether they are currently employed or searching for a job.

As a licensed professional counselor and career development specialist, Ilana has a private career counseling and consulting practice. She also works as the Senior Director of Organizational Development in Human Resources at The New School, where she specializes in performance management, leadership development, staff engagement, and culture.

Ilana is also a public speaker and workshop facilitator, with a focus on the intersection of the workplace, career, and mental health. Her topics range from leadership development to imposter syndrome, work-life balance, workplace change, meaning-making, and more.

Friday, May 12th, a workshop titled "Women Can Have Everything! Just Not All at the Same Time" takes place at 8:30 pm. The workshop is designed to explore self-care, set boundaries, and seek space for a more balanced life for women. Attendees can gain insights and new tools to build resilience and sustain supportive boundaries to achieve balance in life.

Saturday, May 13th, a workshop titled "Move Over Imposter Syndrome! Designing Confidence by Quieting the Inner Critic" takes place at 8:30 pm. The workshop focuses on recognizing imposter syndrome in oneself and others, reducing shame, and learning quick and powerful hacks to stop it in its tracks. Attendees will be able to design and choose confidence in the workplace and in life.

She is the 2013  recipient of the Outstanding Career Practitioner Award from the National Career Development  Association. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and with a strong background in Organizational Psychology and Human Resources, Ilana’s focus with many clients is a deep exploration of the psychological roots that impact career development and workplace  dysfunction. The mother/daughter relationship is so primal, intense and complex, that it can drive a person to his/her line of work, dictate how he/she manages their home environment, and influence the types of relationships they form.

This event is for National Association of Productivity & Organizing-Greater Philadelphia Chapter professionals.

Clients hire professional organizers when they need help cleaning out their physical spaces. Sometimes the physical space is symbolic of a client’s emotional life. Letting go of physical belongings is a natural starting point.

As Professional Organizers it is our job to support our clients in getting unstuck. This practical, hands-on workshop will examine effective ways to create change in your client’s habits, encourage new practices and transform old patterns into new routines. Ilana's expertise as a licensed mental health counselor and trained therapist will help us navigate the boundaries of what is appropriate or not, given our role.

In the first part of the workshop, Ilana will illustrate and teach the tried and true techniques she successfully honed from her years of clinical work to bring about change in her clients’ lives. During the second part of the class, Ilana will have select organizers present case studies: real life situations where we get stopped or feel stuck with certain clients.

Ilana will demonstrate the techniques taught at the start of the workshop to show how to assess the situation and utilize the techniques effectively to encourage change.
